Kelly is a long-time political/social/anti-war activist and coordinator of Voices for Creative Nonviolence (VCNV). In 1996, she helped establish Voices in the Wilderness to end the repressive US/UN Iraq sanctions.
VCNV is a dedicated resistance campaign against imperial wars, violence, and the "war on terror," abroad and at home.
Recently, she was in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Discussion will focus on her trip.
Saturday, July 24 at noon US Central time: Gabriel Kolko
Kolko is a leading historian, scholar, activist and Toronto's York University Distinguished Research Professor Emeritus.
He's written many articles and 15 books, including The Age of War: The United States Confronts the World; Century of War: Politics, Conflicts, and Society since 1914; and his newest titled, World in Crisis: The End of the American Century.
Kolko's current world views will be discussed.
Sunday, July 25 at noon US Central time: Dave Lindorff
Lindorff is a long-time award-winning investigative reporter/journalist, contributing to numerous publications and popular web sites in America and abroad.
He's also a prolific author, his books including The Case for Impeachment: Legal Arguments for Removing President George W. Bush from Office; This Can't Be Happening: Resisting the Disintegration of American Democracy; and Marketplace Medicine: The Rise of the For Profit Hospital Chains.
Lindorff's current views about the Gulf disaster and other major topics will be discussed.
