State-Sponsored BBC Propaganda About Russia Waging Nuclear War

State-Sponsored BBC Propaganda About Russia Waging Nuclear War

by Stephen Lendman

State-owned, controlled and operated BBC resembles Fox News with a British accent - all propaganda, all the time, on major issues mattering most.

It’s credibility is entirely lacking, truth and full disclosure banned from its airwaves. It’s news programming mocks legitimacy.

A program aired on February 3, titled World War Three: Inside the War Room, irresponsibly discussed Moscow invading Eastern Europe and launching nuclear war on Britain - an implausible scenario only a Russia-bashing propagandist would concoct, polar opposite indisputable hard reality.

Russia is the world’s preeminent peacemaker, Vladimir Putin, Sergey Lavrov and other officials dedicated to resolving conflicts diplomatically. Claiming otherwise is part of irresponsible US-led Western Russia-bashing, turning truth on its head.

Moscow threatens no one. Suggesting otherwise ignores its all-out efforts to resolve conflicts in Ukraine and Syria diplomatically, wanting mutual cooperation among all countries, support for rule of law principles, nation-state sovereignty, and multi-world polarity.

Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov blasted the BBC’s irresponsible program, calling it “trash.” Adding the broadcaster “resort(s) to making public products of quite low quality.”

Russian ambassador to Latvia Alexander Veshnyakov called the BBC’s program a “dangerous provocation.” The fictional scenario of Moscow invading the Baltic country is implausible and outrageous - one of many examples of Western anti-Russian hostility, using its media as irresponsible attacks dogs.

Propaganda works. Repeated enough gets most people to believe it, why it’s so effective. At times, it precedes hot wars. Deception, managed news misinformation and Big Lies launch them.

Repeated anti-Russian provocations risk open conflict, possible global war, the unthinkable with super-weapons able to end life on earth.
