Clinton and Trump to Address AIPAC's Annual Policy Conference

Clinton and Trump to Address AIPAC’s Annual Policy Conference

by Stephen Lendman

AIPAC operates illegally as an unregistered foreign agent - fronting for Israel’s high crimes, promoting war, buying US politicians like toothpaste.

It supports militarism, occupation harshness and empire, ignoring international law, its agenda opposed to world peace.

Its annual policy conferences attract bipartisan political support, its 2016 event scheduled for March 20 - 22 in Washington.

Confirmed speakers include Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, House Speaker Paul Ryan, other top Republicans and Democrats along with Netanyahu by satellite from Israel - its usual lineup of warriors, racists and Zionist zealots against peace.

All US presidential aspirants were invited, Bernie Sanders yet to commit. A petition began circulating, urging him not to come.

Reject AIPAC, its message of hate and divisiveness, it stressed. In a few days, it got over 4,000 signatures.

Sanders one-sidedly supports Israel, including its genocidal 2014 Gaza war and occupation harshness.

His political record belies his campaign pledge to back a “level playing field” on Israel/Palestine, claiming he wants US policy “treating everybody in (the Middle East) equally.”

Trump says he’s “totally pro-Israel,” at the same time claiming he’s “sort of a neutral guy.”

All AIPAC conference speakers one-sidedly support Israel, disdainful of Palestinian rights and regional peace.

Whether Sanders accepts or rejects AIPAC’s invitation hardly matters. Like virtually all Republicans and Democrats, he supports Israel’s rogue agenda, its high crimes against peace, its Zionist zealotry, its racist bigotry.

Confronting Israel responsibly is a career-ender. Sanders didn’t last over 30 years in Congress by opposing its policies, by demanding justice for long-suffering Palestinians.

He’s like all the rest - saying one thing, doing another, voting 98% of the time with Democrats, supporting outrageous policies he rhetorically opposes.

His self-styled populism is phony, a con man like all the other presidential aspirants.
