Honor Magicbook X15 Review - Januari 2022

As you know , Honor , a brand operating under Huawei until recently , declared its independence a few months ago and started to stand on its own feet. Honor Magicbook X15 , one of the computer models of the brand that Huawei disposed of , is a model that carries the traces of the roof brand.

The screen of this computer is 15.6 inches. The computer with Full HD resolution uses an Intel Core i5 10210U processor. The computer, which comes with 8 HP RAM and 512 GB SSD storage, has a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button, as in Huawei brand computers.

While the version sent to us includes the Windows 10 Home operating system, there are 2 USB type A (one USB 2.0 and the other USB 3.0), one USB Type C (also used for charging) and standard HDMI connection and headphone / microphone input.

As you can see, the computer does not have a card reader (microSD or SD). The camera is positioned in a way that can be hidden in the keyboard, just like in Huawei computer models. While this is an advantage in one sense, it is a disadvantage in another sense. The advantage is that the webcam can be hidden for security purposes. The disadvantage is that since it is on the keyboard, you have to put something under the computer to adjust its angle, and the standard angle shows too much upwards.

When we look at the hardware of the computer, we can say that it offers more than enough performance for daily needs. The 10th generation i5 processor is a relatively up-to-date processor. In addition, the amount of RAM and SSD is sufficient.

You charge the computer, which has a 56Wh battery, with a 65-Watt adapter that comes out of the box with a USB Type-C connection. You can also use this adapter and cable to charge your phone.

Huawei Magicbook X15 has the feature of using the phone remotely ( Multi Screen Collobration ), which is also found in Huawei computer models . In this way, you can use Huawei or Honor mobile phones (provided that they are compatible) over the computer. For this, you use the PCManager application that comes with the computer .

Although there are much more affordable computers at this price, the Honor Magicbook X15 , a portable computer with a weight of 1.46 kg, stands out from its competitors. It is a model that we can recommend to those who are looking for a light, large screen and affordable computer.
